The Saltillo Fire Department acquired the use of an abandoned factory for use as a training site.
|

Everything was filled with dirt, trash, and broken concrete.
The firefighters did a tremendous job cleaning out the buildings for training.
|

|
An SCBA confidence course, inspired by the 2004 training in Austin, begins to take shape.
|
|
| |
|
Finally, the firefighters designed and built the course for a firefighter rescue drill in less than one day!
|
|
|
|

|
|
The SCBA confidence course is a long and narrow tunnel with ramps, drops, and tight squeezes.
|
|
| |
|
Instructors are on hand to rescue any student that gets stuck in the tunnel.
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
The firefighters must follow a hose line to safety.
|
